“Wokeness” is a term that refers to the state of being politically and socially aware, especially with regard to issues of diversity, equality, and social justice. The term is often used in a positive or negative manner depending on the context and one’s personal beliefs. In general, “wokeness” is associated with a heightened sensitivity to and criticism of various forms of oppression and discrimination.
The problem with these “labels” is that you treat people with that label a certain way. Some of us don’t care about politics, or race or about your little groups. We don’t care about being seen or about what people think of us. All we care about is living a happy life. If we aren’t able to do that, and we are Americans, we have the ability to right that wrong. No one and nothing can stop that. Not Twitter, Reddit, Lyft, Cash App or WordPress.
